We’re currently seeking volunteers for all program areas!

Open Doors is a volunteer driven organization with a passionate group of active volunteers. To see where your skills and interests might lead you, we invite you to sign up with our Volunteer Impact program here. We look forward to welcoming you!

Open Doors relies on the generosity of individuals, service clubs and businesses in our neighbourhood for both financial and in-kind donations that contribute to the success of our programs.

Financial Donations

To make a tax receiptable financial donation, there are several options.

1) To make your gift online, please click here.

2) Mail us a cheque. Please make your cheque payable to Open Doors. Never mail cash, we gratefully accept cash donations in person at the church.

3) E-transfer from your bank account to this email address: acctg@stcb.ca with a note to direct the donation to Open Doors.

4) Phone the office at 905 634 1809 and leave a message for staff to call you back. We can receive your credit card information over the phone and process the transaction.

In-Kind Donations

Clothing Store – We welcome donations of seasonal clean, gently-used clothing and shoes for adults and children for distribution through our free clothing store. Donations are gratefully accepted Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Community Market – We are always in need of canned goods, rice, spices, condiments and hygiene products. We also welcome financial donations to assist with the purchase of milk, meat, and eggs.

Throughout the year we offer seasonal programs including our school backpack program and Christmas support. Each of these programs provide their own unique volunteer, partnering, and donation opportunities. Click here to learn more.

Throughout the year we have a variety of events such as The Coldest Night of the year fundraising walk, our annual Gala, as well as opportunities to buy plants, soup, and more. Click here to see our upcoming events.
